Most wineries in California purchase at least some of their grapes from other growers, but Retzlaff estate wines are made exclusively from grapes grown organically in the family's own vineyards.

Retzlaff Vineyards and Estate Winery has been making fine estate wines for more than 25 years. An emphasis is placed on producing wines that reflect the terroir of the region, and for that reason no fertilizers, insecticides or herbicides are used on the vines.

Retzlaff was one of the first wineries to offer picnic grounds to its guests. Bring your lunch and enjoy a bottle of chilled estate grown Chardonnay.

  5. It looks gorgeous there. So many vineyards now are trading crops and a lot of wines seem to taste the same. Nice to see one using only their own grapes and organic as well is a bonus!
