Concannon Vineyard

Concannon Vineyard is located at 4590 Tesla Road in Livermore, California

Concannon Vineyard
Concannon Vineyard is known worldwide for its award-winning wines, as well as its historic role in the wine industry.

Irish immigrant James Concannon was drawn to the gravelly soil of Livermore more than 125 years ago. A true pioneer, he crossed the country with his family in a covered wagon. They settled first in Oregon and later moved south to California.

James Concannon planted the country's first Petit Sirah vines in 1911. For half a century the grapes were used primarily for blending. At their customers' insistence, Concannon Vineyard bottled its first Petit Sirah in 1964. The winery continues to focus on this popular varietal today.

The Concannon Winery tasting room staff is among the friendliest you'll encounter in the Livermore Valley. If you're looking for information about your favorite variety of wine or the history of the region, this is the place to be.

A beautiful lawn and picnic area is available year-round on a first-come-first-served basis.

Wine Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Counoise, Cinsault, Marsanne, Merlot, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Rousanne, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Viognier
